Welcome to Muhammed Abdurahiman Memorial Orphanage (MAMO) College, Mukkam – an institution deeply rooted in a legacy of educational excellence, moral values, and social commitment !
MAMO College is a First Grade Government-Aided College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, affiliated to the University of Calicut. Recognized as a Muslim Minority Educational Institution by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Government of India, the college operates under sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act. Reaccredited with an “A” Grade by NAAC, the college has grown remarkably since its inception in 1982 as a Junior College. It became a Degree College in 1991 and attained the status of a First Grade College in 2002. Situated in the serene and lush green landscape of Mukkam, just 30 km from Kozhikode, the college now offers 11 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate programmes across diverse disciplines.
In today’s fast-changing and globally interconnected world, education must go beyond the classroom. At MAMO College, we are committed to nurturing intellectually vibrant, socially responsible, and ethically sound individuals. We believe education should empower students to question, explore, create, and lead.
My vision as Principal is to foster a dynamic and inclusive academic environment where tradition and innovation converge. We aim to instill in our students a sense of purpose, a passion for knowledge, and a commitment to serve society. With a dedicated faculty, a responsive curriculum, and a thriving academic culture, MAMO College continues to inspire holistic development — academically, morally, and emotionally.
We also strive to strengthen research culture, promote community engagement, and enhance skill development through a wide range of enrichment programmes. Our mission is to prepare students not only for successful careers but also for meaningful lives.
As you step into MAMO College, you will discover more than an educational institution — you will find a vibrant community that values excellence, equity, and empowerment. Together, let us continue to uphold the ideals upon which this institution was founded and work towards a brighter, more inclusive future.
Welcome to a journey of learning, leadership, and transformation.
Warm regards,
Prof. (Dr.) Sajith E.K.
